Contemplating Laser Surgery

Hello , I am 23 years old and have had glasses since the age of 11.
I've tried several times with putting in contacts, but can't seem to get them in all the time(weird, I know). I've been looking into laser surgery , and have been told I am a good candidate for it. I was wondering if at my age is the right time to do it? Should I wait a couple years? I was also wondering, for those who have had eye color change laser, how painful is it during the actual surgery?

Age is less important than vision stability. You need to have a stable prescription for at least two years.
